CORDOBA FULL DAY TRIP
Price per person €152 | Min numbers 25
Cordoba is a clear reflection of the important role it used to play in other times. It was the most important European city of the Muslim expansion in Medieval Ages and became a bridge for Occidental, Jewish and Muslim cultures and traditions. A travel to Córdoba is a travel to the heart of the Spanish Muslim heritage.
World Heritage List: the extraordinary Mezquita (the Mosque), built over two centuries and whose works began in 785. The Mosque has a large inner court or patio with a roofed temple, which is third in size in the world. Once inside, you will be amazed to see a real forest of marble, stone arches and pillars, 850 in total, not two of the same height. Instead of destroying the Mosque, the Christians built a huge church right in the centre of this in the 16th Century.
We will walk through the Jewish quarter which lays the Synagogue, which, according to a Hebrew inscription, was built in 1315. It is one of the few in Spain that retain their original structure, including the women’s gallery.
